John Cena’s Post-Surgery Workout Photo is Sure to Inspire You
John Cena is one of the strongest dudes in professional wrestling. A simple YouTube search unearths footage of Cena moving massive amounts of weight, including a 500-pound Bench Press.
[youtube video=”drN3rC1yeDw”]Cena’s strength, physique and work ethic are big reasons why he’s been the face of the WWE for over a decade, but a recent injury sent Cena back to square one. Earlier this month, he underwent surgery to repair a torn tendon in his rotator cuff. After a couple weeks of rehab, he was back in the gym and pumping iron—albeit with much less weight.
Max squat 2015=611lbs Max squat 2016=75lbs. Still can’t grab a regular bar but rebuilding every day #nevergiveup pic.twitter.com/hOwWpKPg9S

Any athlete who’s ever come back from a serious injury knows what Cena’s going through. He’s just beginning his recovery journey, and the first few sessions back in the weight room are really tough. Suddenly going from a 611-pound Squat to lifting just the bar can be highly demoralizing, but how you handle it depends on your mindset and determination. Few people on this earth are more motivated than John Cena, so we expect to see him back to his beastly self in no time.
