Remember when former Harvard basketball player Douglas Davis hit a game-winning shot to defeat Princeton, sending the Crimson to the 2011 NCAA Tournament?
[youtube video=”PpTQzkcAZb8″ /]Well, Harvard lacrosse player Joe Lang got a taste of that vigor from Yale’s Liam Kelly during Sunday’s Ivy League Tournament Championship game. Kelly smashed Lang into the ground, and Lang simply couldn’t recover.
[youtube video=”H5s4SzAJZKk” /]Lang didn’t even have a chance to stand back up as Kelly proceeded to push him back down after the hit. The first hit sends Lang to the ground. The second leaves Lang thinking about Kelly for the rest of the game.
Yale beat Harvard 14-9 to win the Ivy League championship, and they will play Navy in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs have gone to the national tournament in four of the past five years. Last year, they lost to Maryland in the first round.
